I decided to change my exhaust as it looked boring, didn't really care about performance/sound so decided to just change the tips (back box replaced with straight pipe). Had it done at Fast Lane Styling in Romford on Saturday and didn't like the change at all, felt it looked cheap and definitely the wrong choice of tips. More about this on here: " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have since gone and changed them and I'm much happier with the result. Chose angled tips with thin edges (don't know the correct terminology) - tried to get it as close to the 130i exhaust as possible but these tips aren't thin all the way through, they get more narrow about 2cm into the exhaust.

Dark line rear lights (High) next so if anyone is selling a pair let me know! :D

nice! so its definately worth doing this instead of chucking a oem one on?, i was after one but i think i may just do this.

do you need to recode anything in the car to stop errors popping up or is it just a cut and weld job?

looking nice anyways

I didn't feel like spending 300-400 on an OEM one but if you're able to then I would suggest doing that. The tips I have on do look good but I still prefer the OEM ones. You don't need to recode anything, simple cut and weld job.

Your existing tips were probably welded on.

Are you able to cut it off yourself?

It might be a job for a specialist cuz note those eBay tips are for a E82 123d so it might need a bit of tweaking to get the fitment right.

The diameter of the piping would need to be the same as well.

Make sure to measure beforehand.

I reckon fastlane stock that style tip doe. Should have just went for it when you was there.

They'd probably change the tip for you for a few pennies.

Yeah I was thinking to order them and take them to fast lane to see if they could make them fit and if not I would just return them.

They didn't stock those, trust me I looked :lol2: Most of their tips were dual wall ones and I really wanted the single wall ones like the BMW performance tips. :rollseyes:
