Hi guys, About a year ago I purchased my 118d a 19 plate. I'm in need of a new engine for my 2010 116d. My question is could I put a 118d engine in without having to swap the ecu? My engine code is N47d20c & I believe the 118d engine codes are n47d20a? I'm not too clued up on these cars/engines so would appreciate any advice, thanks.

Hi guys, I have an E87 118D and It was written off and repaired ( CAT S) with a lot of filler. Hi, I have had my BMW 118D since it had 20,000 miles on the clock. Like clockwork, as soon as it hit 70,000 miles last week the engine got quite a bit louder. I've tried to ignore the noise but it's impossible to. When I accelerate the noise gets louder. I have took a video of the sound with...

Morning all, I recently began what I though would be a 20 min oil and filter change on my E82 118d, only to find that the oil pan bolt wouldnt budge. I had to resort to basically hanging off it with some vice grips and turning it to remove which took me the best part of 4 hours to finally get...
