To have a lean code in bank 2 the ECU thinks you have too much air entering the cylinder. If it was due to the airbox you'd have the same code for bank 1 I would have thought. I would have thought it more likely a faulty O2 sensor or perhaps your CCV has a crack in it letting unmetered air into the manifold. Normally if it is a vacuum leak it will be more prominent at idle as the air flow is less.

Hey all, bringing this topic back up again! I’ve bought some new wheels so my 216m will be for sale if anyone is interested! Could benefit from a refurb, rims only no tyres

Well that’s good news for remaining LE owners as their cars are getting even rarer :)

I’m surprised you’d not keep it all so you can revert if needed.

Exactly my thoughts, if I were buying another I'd pay a premium for an intact LE.

Ah I don’t plan on selling the car at all (once I buy a new car this will be a track b****h anyway) so it doesn’t matter too much, plus I don’t really have the room in the garage to keep it. To get decent money it would need to be mint and low miles (which it is far from). So my plan is to create my version of a 130i. The LE isn’t even that rare when you consider the spec! My old 5 door silver manual was one of 36!

I’ve opted for the full cloth black / anthracite sports seats! So far so good, feel more supportive than slippery leather actually! Got an airbag warning light though, even though I disconnected the battery...

Will post a photo when I can

Did the same thing in mine when I changed the fronts over from the standard seats. Managed to get an airbag light as well :banghead:

Yeah I’m not sure why bmw fit leather to everything... old Peugeot GTi models, or ‘sport’ spec 306s at least, had Alcantara seats with leather on non-supporting sections.

It means you didn’t really need heating either.

And yeah, grip. You didn’t move. And no need for huge stupid bolsters/buckets.

A track machine eh. Sounds good. What wheels are you getting?

I’m curious why people don’t get Z4 3.0Si? Are you taking spare wheel sets back/forth and need boot space.

In my experience the Z4 is much closer to a track car with its super low CofG, than the 1er.

A 130i has rear (foldable) seats, bigger boot, takes a roofrack and a towing hook, is a bit more inconspicuous and slightly better (higher) view out (useful around here on the backroads.. If you want one car to do it all, a 130i is hard to beat imo.

Do love the z4 rear though, looks great!
