What do you use for Red Coral Leather
Morning all,
As this is my first car with leather seats, always had cloth previously, what would you guys use to clean Red Coral Leather seats?
Cheers

Autoglym interior shampoo.
Just spray on a microfibres and wipe over the seats. Remember to feed the leather with something like Autoglym leather balm. This will keep it soft and help reduce cracking.

I had coral red in my previous 1er and used Glimpton cleaner and then the conditioner. They now also do a lighter cleaner that you spray on and wipe off.
I love the leather smell it leaves and still use it on my oyster leather in the current chariot.

Can't say I have coral leather, but I use these on my MX5's leather, they have a golden colour label. Normally 3:2 in Halfords, whilst there id get some Autoglym interior shampoo, works a treat, spray on, wet cloth off, twice a year, mmm lovely.

And then

Zymol Leather Cleaner.
Zymol Treat to feed.
I only ever wear raw denim so I have to clean my seats every few days due to the dye transfer.

I use autoglym interior cleaner on my seats but most importantly i use autoglym leather balm to feed the seats. Keeps your coral red leather looking a fresh as the day you got it as well as protecting it from cracking and from sunlight fade.

Interested in this thread, as I’ve watched a few detailing videos on YT, not that it makes me any specialist, but I too have used leather care from AG to feed the leather.
From what I’ve seen recently, leather in cars is covered in a flexible plastic type coating, that doesn’t allow the feed to penetrate, nor does the leather need feeding.
Talk about confusing, I’m going to try L1 leather guard from GTechniq on my new car.

It’s vinyl coated leather and shouldn’t use conditioner on it as it won’t penetrate just sits on top of the coating. Neither need leather cleaners as you not cleaning the actual leather again but the coating. A lightly soapy water and a micro fibre cloth would be fine I personally use a highly diluted Autosmart G101 to clean my seats and all plastic trims which leaves a nice matte finish.Steffydog wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 4:44 pmInterested in this thread, as I’ve watched a few detailing videos on YT, not that it makes me any specialist, but I too have used leather care from AG to feed the leather.
