I’m a believer in if it can’t be done properly, don’t do it at all.
If EVERYONE had your mentality, there would hardly be any innovation and progress of said innovation would be at a snails pace. NOTHING is released 100% perfect first time round.

Regardless of business or pro nav, I’d suspect the connected drive section within idrive is the same. Could someone tell me what the point of that section is? As I said in my original post, it just says ‘welcome to your connected drive app’ and there’s a list of random addresses.
No, I think connected drive is much better on Pro Nav.

I can lock my car, locate it, flash lights, send maps/routes to it, control climate and lots of other things. Then you have the concierge service etc.

Business nav is the basic offering, Pro Nav is the better option.

You don't need pro nav to do any of that - it all works with a connected services subscription and business nav. In fact, you don't even need a sub to send destinations to the car.

Yes I wasn't 100% sure. There are some differences I believe, but not sure what.

Either way, I find some of the connected drive stuff pretty useful.

As I understand it, pro nav has a more capable navigation system (3D navigation, etc) and comes with the larger (10") display which has split screen capability.

I presume you don't have Apple CarPlay? I think that would solve most of your problems - Apple Maps isn't great but it's still better than most manufacturers offerings. The integration with Spotify is faultless IMO, unlike in ConnectedDrive when it just seems to give up randomly. I think it can be retrofitted, might be worth looking into.
