Hi all,

Sold my 130i earlier in the year. Totally regretted it so now after another.

Preferably 3 door and not silver will compromise on this for the right car.

Keeping an eye out but am inviting PMs if anyone's reading this.

Hi guys,

Just putting the feelers out to see what interest I would have in my 130i, otherwise I’ll be looking to potentially part exchange it in the future if the demand isn’t there for it.

2006 ‘56’ BMW 130i E87 M Sport
86000 miles
Le Mans Blue
Full Service History - Gearbox Oil changed when I purchased the car. Invoiced proof of Waterpump replacement carried out by previous owner.
Xenons
Full Electric Adjustable Black Leather
Professional Navigation
Auto Lights/Wipers
Electric Folding Mirrors
4x New Brake Calipers in the last 12 months
Front Grooved Discs with EBC Yellowstuff Pads
Nolathane Rear Subframe Inserts
4x 225/40/18 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3’s

There is probably more I have missed from the list.

Minor Issues:
Wheels would benefit from a refurb, some kerbing and baked on brake dust from the brake caliper seizing on.
Heater Blower Motor is starting to squeak.
Stone chipping to front end, as to be expected on a car of this age and mileage.

Cheers! :D

Very handy thread - thanks for the originator!

I'm just starting looking for a 130i, so thought I'd post and register my intent here.

Preference is for a 3 door, but the right car is more important than the number of doors :)

I'll have a high spec pre LCi Le Mans Blue E87 up for sale in a week or two. Forum owned for 10 years and BMW Used Approved prior to that.

That does sound interesting Jon, thanks for alerting me - is it the one linked to in your signature?

Hopefully off to view a 3 door later today too ...

No not the one in my signature. I've been running a 5 door as a daily whilst the one in my signature is off the road. The E87 I have is a really good example, 97,800miles but still feels great. I'll be sad to see her go!

My 130i will be up for sale within the next week or so :) Its a 2008 E81 Three Door. Has 146k Miles. Has had clutch and fly wheel done as well as oem suspension refresh about a year ago. I've had it for almost a year, and it has to go because i'm moving down under for a year (and will probably get a 130i there!) The car is pretty faultless. Just a heads up if anyone may be interested. Oh, and its in space grey which is beautiful :D

This was a good shout for a thread!
I’m trawling the usual classifieds looking for a 130i LE. I know there were only 160 made, so finding one will be difficult, but I’m in no rush and unfortunately missed out on one down in Newbury that was on Autotrader last week.

I’m based in Aberdeen / Edinburgh, so I’m handy for flights and trains for travel. It’s just time isn’t always on my side as I can’t just drop everything and go!
Budget could probably stretch to 7k for the right one.

There was one near me that’s still on Autotrader with an LPG conversion. My mate told me to steer clear as he said they run hotter and can lead to problems with the heads cracking?

Any info or current owners thinking about selling post away! 😀

Your mates right avoid lpg cars it knackers engines in longterm due to hot running. Right car will come along can just take a little time :)

Looks like Jason Barker has one - http://jasonbarker.co.uk/shop_detail.asp?product_id=334

I bought mine from him, it might be worth the trek as he has a solid reputation and really knows his 130s.

Hi, joined as im keeping an eye out for a 130 so this is a good thread! Was wondering if anyone has advice /experience of ex armed response cars? Ive seen one for sale that has been owned by an individual for 4 years but prior to that was an armed response vehicle. Its on for a decent price which makes me think either its too good to be true, or worth a gamble!
