I'm guessing you've already looked at all the fuses and relays?

I would check the main red battery cable from end to end, they can corrode. Start at the battery, then under the car.

Starter motor good?

havent checked any fuses or relays yet how would i test a relay? im great with electrics haha.
somone else mentioned starter motor but surely i will have some sort of click there and some power. if these power cables are corroded can they be cleaned up or do they have to be replaced?
i did take of terminals after changing wheel speed sensor (abs sensor) on the rear to turn of the 3 lights that come up when that sensor goes.
could that of f*cked the battery? ive read that bmw need to have batteries coded to the car?

Relays should click in operation, as should the starter.

Corroded cables can be re-connected if they're long enough, or joined/replaced if not.

Brand new BMW batteries do need coding to the car, but not if you're just disconnecting. If you have disconnected it recently, it's worth re-checking the terminals are clean, and fastened down correctly.

The BST hasn't blown, has it? No bumps/airbags deployed?

Isn’t there a risk of one of the modules in the car being damaged by heavy handed removal and reconnection of batteries?
There’s also the power distribution bar on the battery that also contains its own fuses. Might be possible that one of those has blown, but I’m not sure where each terminal on the bar leads to on yours to help you diagnose that.

Bit of a long shot but if you have rear parking sensors it could be worth checking the module isn’t sitting in a pool of water.
