I'm jumping in to let you know there's (at least) one Dervtech customer in France ;-)
I wrote the tune yesterday, I didn't had the time to properly test the car, but first impressions were good. I assume it'll take some time for me to adapt to the new behavior of the car.
Actually asked for :
- classic multimode tuning recipe (Eco: standard, Comfort: mild, Sport and Sport+: insane)
- more reactivity to the pedal
- cold start delete
- increased pops and bangs

Software and programming are working good and everything went well.

Will let you know when I do a few more kilometers :)

I would like to do some logging in order to check if everything is ok and if maybe there are some optimizations to do.
I read in an earlier post that I should have a k+dcan cable and testo software.
Are these cheap cables on amazon any good ? Is the chip important (FT232RL or FT232RQ ?), and should it have a switch ?
About the software, is it what I'm looking for https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/show ... graph-view ?

I've been using Torque Pro and a Vgate wifi obd2 adaptor for the past 18 months. I log rpm, boost, afr and timing and with an old Android phone I have a dedicated device with real time guages as well as data logging. Works well.

I have torque pro and a bluetooth obd2 adapter. Is there enough data flow through this kind of hardware in order to log data properly ? Maybe a WiFi adapter has a greater refresh ? I was under the impression that torque was a bit slow when monitoring more than 2 or 3 data sources.

With the wifi adapter I get great resolution at 0.1 second intervals.

I can really recommend Test-O... it's what we use alongside the Dyno data logger!

Drop us an email through to the same transform tuning address you get your maps from... I think I have the software and M140i/M240i package saved somewhere...

Thanks

Any of those k+dcan cables are fine - it's canbus / Kline so fairly basic.

Thanks

James, I've got the cable. I'm setting up the laptop with the Test-O archive you provided. How should I proceed next ?
