Anyone changed them, BMW want £170 for the Chrome ends. Think there pressed on.

Mine were changed under warranty.

They're an interference fit using spring clips so should pull off - may need a bit of persuasion though.

I quite like the standard exhaust sound and have been looking for carbon tips for ages, but you just can't seem to get quality items now.

Yes, under 3 years old at the time; I bought mine under the AUC scheme so they were replaced no problem.

The standard tips aren't the best quality to be fair, and water from the combustion process tends to gather at the lower lip of each one, so this is where they can go.

Since having the new tips I've been using the Megs NXT metal polish on both the inside of the tailpipe and the chrome finishers and haven't had a problem since. You just need to keep on top of them.

I did get interested in the carbon fibre tips from Lightweight (Germany) which fitted the OEM exhaust but sadly they no longer do them.

I do also keep looking at the Akra slip-on with the remote - they do two versions now, the hard wired and wireless - but have managed to resist so far...

Took my exhaust tips off today to clean them all.
Measured the actual exhaust outlets at 2.5 inch which according to other sites is the same as the M135.
So surely I can pick some of them up , as there seems plenty of options for them .
