What car?
Had mine on my M135i for 3 weeks or so and no engine light, but then I’m still on ‘C’.
I’ll probably turn it up to D soon just to see what difference it makes but no higher. I think E is boarder line for the engine light coming on.

The problem is it's hard to know if the EML is due to the BS box or not.

I've had the BS on my 140 for about 6 months now ("C" setting) with no issues. I recently had a drivetrain error that was specifically "misfire on cylinder 1" when I checked the code. I doubt this could be attributed to the BS though as it seems this error is pretty common with plugs or injectors failing.

That said, if you need to take it in, whip the box out of course, as they'll most likely spot that and refuse warranty work on the engine.

Similar story with me, 15k miles with setting E and Decat and not a single issue. Seems to be an issue with the N55

Nope, I don't believe there is a need on the B58.

Never heard of this happening on the B58, only on the N55.
