Re: No body on here i hope.

I'm a little confused as to how that happened. https://goo.gl/maps/VwVJgXWCaPR637uE7 Would had to have been coming quite fast from the right, unless the car has spun around or something. The only explanation I could have is brakes failing or serious unfamiliarity with the roads, resulting in approa...

Re: New 4 Series grills - what are BMW thinking?

So does this make the M2, the last BMW that looks any good?
How the hell did they get from that chunky, squat looking BMW, to these new Ford Edsel fronted Sh*tty lumps of wrongness.

Re: For those with Dashcams (Joe Achilles story)

Just spotted this on Jalopnik! I know the motoring ‘justice system’ is based around guilty until proved innocent, but I’m surprised by this. 3rd party video platform, with speed calculations from google and other apps. Not enough to evidence for any other type of conviction? Not the best road these...

Re: Had to harsh brake,Have I damaged the brakes or components?

There’s also a 100% chance that (if the ABS engaged - a pulsating feeling under your foot) that the car have applied the brakes even harder for you. If ABS engages then you're potentially not braking as hard. ABS is a steering aid more than braking aid. The fact that it pulses can extend braking di...

Re: Best brake pads for 130i?

I loved the yellow stuff on my 130i! Better initial feel and bite when cold, combined with way more power from multiple high speed stops. Slightly more noise, but a lot less dust stuck to my wheels. When the oem pads would be fading away, the yellow stuff pads had just started to show more layers o...

Re: Smallest increment over limit ever been done speeding?!

I’ve been nicked in an average speed zone! 58mph in a 40 limit :( It was a formerly a NSL dual carriageway, which is straight and clear. I consider 58mph to be pretty restrained for the class of road and conditions. Anyway, they added and switched on the slightly hidden average cameras that week, wi...

Re: Anyone know this car? - v1.1

Abroad I think, but a good example of what happens.
Not a car I’d like to see get rear ended again, as everything is compromised now.

Re: Still twitchy under 'hard' acceleration

Wow, lots of feedback (it helps if you subscribe to updates in your own topic!). I wasn't monitoring tyre temps, but the rears have been cold inflated to 32 at around 20 degrees, so pressures would definitely have been up after a decent run in 28 deg ambient, and yeah, 245s aren't really that wide ...

Re: Still twitchy under 'hard' acceleration

My 135i had B1, LSD, with the ARBS and 420/440 powers. When I got it, it was a little too excitable and wild under WOT. This was fun for a while, but I soon got bored of the traction limitations. I cured mine with tyres and bushes. Rear tyres were oem 245, so I swapped from the Conti onto a set of M...

Re: Issue after having new rear tyres

Its the fitting garage’s duty to inform drivers of what tyres their vehicles need - they are the experts not the driver. they VERY quickly suggested a cheap tyre in order to pass the MOT So people should rely on the garage, who'll suggest a non-matching cheapo? Great advice. Not what I am saying at...

Re: BMW cannot update software due to being corrupt

All the misunderstanding and confusion you exhibit, after this has been explained so many times, leads me to believe that it’s you that’s been bricked! I’ve never seen somebody so stubbornly grasp the wrong end of so many sticks, quite so firmly! Sometimes you just have to realise that other people...
