Re: Winters on M135i - MPSS are terrible in cold and damp

I've just ordered a square set of CrossClimates from BlackCircles that should *fingers crossed* be fitted tomorrow. I hope i dont have any of the palava of fitters being unwilling to replace tyres with different sizes to those removed. I need to rid of these MPSS as i dont like them in the cold/wet...

Re: Standard M140i at Nurburgring 7 Mins 54 Seconds

Wowzers, you see the rate of knots he passed that Skyline ( think it was a Skyline) at 4.40 ?? Driver must have shat his pants. Impressive drive to say the least, looks a bit of a twitchy handful at times but was kept nicely under control.

Re: New M140i throttle hesitation

I had this a few weeks ago trying to pull away from somm traffic lights on an incline. I thought the engine had stalled, it took a good 3 seconds for me to start moving and then i realised it was lack of traction on the mpss so the TC intervened cutting literally all power. Weather was cold and wet,...

Re: Options you regret/wouldn't pick again

The only thing with HBA that gets me is the black shadow it produces to block people from being dazzled - on a pitch black road I end up being mesmerised by the shadow moving about and end up focusing on the voodoo magic going on rather than the road!! I think that only works on Xenon's and n...

Re: Winters on M135i - MPSS are terrible in cold and damp

Plenty of winter "god like" driving heroes in graveyards along with their respective cars in the automotive equivalent... Mind you there's plenty of summer heroes too.. Exactly, but nowt wrong making the chariot safer through the cold crap, especially for the long commuters. Just convinced my work ...

Re: Winters on M135i - MPSS are terrible in cold and damp

That's bs. If you have good car control and feel of grip you can enjoy driving in any conditions. Leave a bit more room and drive slower if worried about stopping. I don't understand why people get all flappy because there is less grip in the winter. Jesus what a satchel. So what happens if someone...

Comfort access. I bought second hand so didnt spec it myself. I find it pointless.
You might want to consider protecting against relay theft if you aren’t doing so already.
Yes - thanks, indeed I am! So not only pointless but a pain.

Re: Options you regret/wouldn't pick again

You do have to trust it as it can appear like you're main-beaming the oncoming traffic but I find if you look closely you can see the right hand beam tracking wider and wider just to the right of the oncoming car until it gets too close at which point it dips. You notice it more easily with somethi...

Re: M3 F80 vs M135i

I love my M135i but have hankered off and on after an M3 and since the local dealer has one I decided today to take it out for a test drive. Same route I am familiar with in my MLite. I half expected to find the M3 too "hard core". I am not a fast driver I just like quick cars and how they feel to ...

Re: Options you regret/wouldn't pick again

After that, park assist, which I purchased as a novelty feature and because it was a cheap-ish option. Used it once and found it parked me about 3cm from the kerb. I'd have kittens each time I were to use it, so don't (besides which, seems quicker to park myself than to have to think about how I us...

Re: Options you regret/wouldn't pick again

Comfort access. I bought second hand so didnt spec it myself. I find it pointless. Yeah the first dealer I went to was Bradford and the rep was banging on and on and on about how good this was and trying to convince me to choose it. I just sorry love I just don't find it a massive chore to put my h...

Re: Options you regret/wouldn't pick again

Mine is an demonstrator so I didn’t spec it , I’m not sure if high beam assist is an option but it’s useless so definitely one thing I wouldn’t bother with. Electric seats are nice but again , another thing I wouldn’t bother with. Once it’s set it never gets touched again as I’m the only driver. Se...

Options you regret/wouldn't pick again

As per title, doesn't apply as much to those who have bought 2nd hand but what options did you pick that have turned out to be a waste of money? Ill start with parking assist (or whatever it's called)...basically the car parallel parks itself or whatever. After nearly 15 months...total number of tim...
