Re: Trolley jack question

I've got one from Costco and been fine for a couple of years, good price and warranty.

Birds also have a specific setup developed for the 1M using bilstein dampers and springs.

Re: 1m coupe exhaust options.

Best setup imho is a wagner downpipes and a lightweight titanauspuffanlagen setup.. mega loud and superlight. Sadly too loud for tracks and gets abit drony after long drives. Akra is a nice balance with the valve. Again to get best results a remap is needed.

Re: Car been thrashed during recall service

Horrible and a disgrace, they even turn off dashcams now (for sake of workshop security)
Try and only use a dealer with the nice big glass windows to see the workshop and query why a roadtest is needed if anything prior with the service advisor...

hope you get a satisfactory outcome.

Re: Rear control arms??

Yes, most folks upgrade the front LCAs and UCAs with M3 ones as they allow more negative camber, along with camber pin mod.

Rears can also be done, but generally less so. Unless you have a full coilover setup to take full use of a stiffer rear :P, the benefits are marginal on the rear imho.

Re: Anyone tried hollowing downpipe cats?

I had some on my car, when I bought it, as previous owner had it done. As mentioned already, they were restrictive, as I fitted 3" aftermarket DP's and dyno results were higher, same autotune jb4 map5.

Re: Rear control arms??

Don't need to be done in pairs, if just going OEM replacements, but ordinarily if they haven't ever been replaced, better to get them both done. EuroCarparts/german swedish all do them too, and should be cheaper.

Re: ALL Ultra Racing Chassis bars review.

Interesting, I've looked at these before and discounted them as no reviews/feedback etc. Thanks for the taking the time to post up.

Did you re-use the OEM bolts?

I noticed on the pics from the manufacturer link, they trim the corners of the front undertray to fit around the corners.
