Bean's Black Sapphire 135i M-Sport Coupe

Post by Bean » Tue Jan 24, 2012 2:17 pm

A bit about me and my car history, I'm a 24 year old male and like many I have an addiction to cars and modifying them. I will be the first to admit not always for the better though

Anyhoo my car history:

I started my driving career in a 5 door 1.4 Peugeot 206 in Tivoli Blue, was after a golf but insurance put a stop to that!

No pictures of standard but a few as it was when I finished destroying it...

Image

Image

Part ex'd the 206 back in 2008 with a blown head gasket and knackered clutch, purchased myself a 3 door Seat Ibiza 1.9 TDI in silver aka the 'Go-Kart' or 'Bean'. I promised to learn from my mistakes from the Pug and i'd like to think I did.

when I bought it...

Image

Just before being stripped to standard for sale.

Image

Image

Image

Dropped on KW V1's, Whiteline arb's and forge strut braces front and rear. lots of fun to throw into bends despite the heavy diseasle lump. Not so much fun driving over speed bumps...

Image

The sump was literally an inch off the floor :P

Part ex'd the Ibiza back in October 2011, never had a problem with it in the entire time of owning it but I longed for the power and sound of a large engined, rear wheel driven, petrol monster and with insurance no longer leaving my sphincter burning I picked up the 135i 6 speed manual in Sapphire Black with one previous owner and just over 60K on the clocks.

Due to the colour and amount of bells and whistle's the car was soon named Kitt by the mrs and the name has stuck ever since...

As he was when I collected him;

Apologies for the poor pictures, they were pulled from the dealership website.

As he stands now:

Ok so dropped the car off this morning to have the turbo actuators sorted as they're rattling only to be told that they are having issues accessing and solving the problem. So now I have to collect my car tonight and take it back Saturday when they will give me a 3 series to drive till next Thursday in which time hopefully they will sort the car out :(

Thanks for the compliments guys, rear performance spoiler due to be fitted shortly along with front grills.

Tried to order some darklines for the rear today but ended up spending the money elsewhere, oops!

O dear, and so it begins...

Can they get the darklines, yet?

Haha it began a few years ago, once bitten by the modding bug no car is safe.

Had plans for the car before I bought it, just finally putting them into motion.

Dealerships should be taking orders the lights are all numbered up and on BMW systems etc but there's still a wait for them to hit uk stores. May be worth ordering them now and getting them as they come in :)

Dare I ask... How much ?

Also any more pictures of it with no spoiler? Think it looks quite cool like that to be honest! :)
