S17 NER ALPINA crashed

Postby pimpinyourmum » Fri Feb 11, 2011 11:26 pm

Driving home from Milton Keynes today the traffic in front of me suddenty emergency braked. Turns out theres a 4 car pile up in the opposite carriageway thats literally just happended. I glance accross and the 2nd car in the pile up has the registration number S17 NER. This is a famous reg that Sytners use for their UK press demonstrators. It is currently on a new shape Alpina B5 Bi Turbo. Thats got to be a very expensive mistake!!!!? I imagine looking at the driver it was being driven by a journalist at the time. Will be interesting to see if any of the main UK mags own up to crashing it!

Yup, the insurance!
I never wanted to believe that my Dad was stealing from his job as a road worker. But when I got home, all the signs were there.

That car passed me yesterday morning on the M74 on a dark blue 5 or 7 series, not sure which.

It won't be modded - Aplina's are proper production cars and this would have been the press demonstrator.

Exactly right!!!!!! :D It was indeed a dark blue colour being driven by a skinny dark haired chap. Well he drove past you in the morning and then stuck it into the back of a van on the M6 in Cheshire in the afternoon in front of me!!! Its a small world.

I cant be 100% sure but Im fairly confident it was a 5 series B5 rather than a 7er B7 but its hard to tell with all BMWs saloons looking identical these days!!
