Ah of course! That makes sense. Thanks.

In that case I suppose my only worry is there is a small chance the pro-logic hardware installed with the Hi-Fi Loudspeaker system (not the Hi-Fi Pro speakers) - but I would hope that this is not possible..

It might be worth checking the Number plate against the registation document! I collected my 120D (ex lease hire) from my local stealer and drove round for 4 weeks with the wrong registration number. It was only when I tried to book it in to have a squelling air movement fan sorted out and they didn't recognise my plate number that they realised that they had put the wrong number on my new plates!!!!! If I had realised their mistake earlier I would have gone throgh some spped cameras at an excesive speed lol

When I collected my A3 from an Audi main dealer 4 years ago it was actually missing the centre caps from the alloys as well as the centre brake light. There was just a hole above the rear window with a wire poking out of it!! They swapped the alloys for a different set, but it took them nearly an hour and a half to source and fit the missing brake light. (Incidentally, the same light 'fell out' a few weeks later).

When my g/f picked up her new A4, they'd fitted completely the wrong factory satnav and had left out the CD changer. Took them nearly three months to produce the correct car, during which time the garage lost the franchise.

Never assume dealers know what they're doing. At least not Audi dealers

Im getting charged £30 for fuel on my invoice... when I pick the car up should I expect this to be a full tank?? Never bought a car new, so I dont know what should be the norm, a full tank or just half.

Thanks!

I got 3/4 tank free and was told to give the salesman a phone when it's near empty

...swirl marks.

I figured this was inevitable and am in a position to do something about it myself ~ so was not overly concerned when I very carefully inspected my new car at the dealer's yesterday and found swirl marks. Essentially, the lighting conditions didn't 'advertise' the marks and a cursory glance at the paint wouldn't have revealed anything. Later in the day, when the car was parked up at home, the sun came out and the swirls were really clear.

I'll be attacking my car with a dual action polisher later today ~ it'll be fine be tea time ~ and (sadly) I'll get a real kick from sorting it and will enjoy the day. But, most people don't have a polisher and/or are just not prepared to accept a less than perfect car ~ so, swirls are something to look out for...

...that your speakers all work properly.

I picked my 120d up 3 months ago. It's been back I think 3 times now for the speakers to be sorted ~ and they still aren't :banghead: . I have distortion from the front passenger side and rear driver's side.

It's been in to the dealers for the 4th time today ~ and still isn't sorted. This is, I'm informed, a software issue and so will not be unique to my car.
